„Die Neigung ist vergleichbar mit anderen Seegrasfinnen, dementsprechend leisten die Gelben im Kampf gegen das Grüne gute Dienste. Erfreulicherweise bieten die K4 Finnen eine gute Mischung aus Steifigkeit und dem für die Kontrolle nötigen Flex. Dadurch bieten sie ein gutes Verhältnis aus Speed, Grip im Turn und obendrein der Möglichkeit, das Heck auch mal kontrolliert sliden zu lassen.“

Unser Tipp zur Größe: Da die Finnen recht schlank ausfallen, kann man Centerfinnen zwischen 14 und 16 Zentimetern 1:1 tauschen. Misst die Serienfinne 19 bis 22 Zentimeter, sollte die Seegrasversion einen bis zwei Zentimeter kürzer ausfallen.“

Wir haben die erfolgreiche Rocketvorlage-/Shape als Ausgangspunkt genommen und versucht, über 38° Rechen zu verwenden, während die Leistung erhalten bleibt. Unser Bauchgefühl war, dass das supersteife Material außergewöhnlich gut für die Weed Finne geeignet ist und gerade genug Flex bietet, um mit minimalem Luftwiderstand durch das Wasser zu gleiten, aber auch genug Steifigkeitheit, um trotz des reduzierten Auftriebs direkt und lebhaft unter den Füßen zu sein.
Wir haben die Prototypen mit Hilfe von Steffi Wahl und ihren Freunden entwickelt, die in der Ostsee surfen und der Erfolg war ziemlich einfach!

Some time ago we made some jokes about the Baltic Sea and that we should import Dugongs (seaweed eating animals), because it was such a hassle with the weed. Frithjof made a little logo (a small dugong)…. It somehow would be perfect for those fins.“
